1986 Suzuki Samurai 4X4 1.9L VW turbo diesel

1986 Suzuki Samurai 4X41. 9 liter VW turbo diesel engine This Samurai I bought with 86. 41 original miles on it. and a thrown rod. The previous owner did the spring over axle lift and used heavy duty extended shackles. I purchased a Volkswagen 1. 9 liter turbo diesel and an ACME conversion kit. I bought and installed the Jetta larger radiator with electric fan. I then purchased a $980 mechanical fuel injection pump (rebuilt in Germany) and the complete urethane bushing kit for it. I bought and replaced all the U joints after one failed on the first trip. tearing the rear end of the transmission up. I bought a rebuilt transmission and put it in. I replaced the dashboard with a custom. diamond plate aluminum one (see pictures). I replaced all 4 glow plugs. I have the bikini top shown in the pics and also the front fiberglass hard top with latches (not installed). The tires are ZTR Sport El Dorado 30x9. 50x15 light truck tires with over 80% remaining. There is also the factory spare tire holder (not attached) with factory sized spare tire. I installed a homemade snorkel kit and have an exhaust extension that brings the exhaust up to roof level. I installed a cheap motorcycle FM radio. to listen for weather reports. I have the complete factory installed dashboard. with air conditioning system. if one wanted to return this vehicle to factory shape. The front seats have wear and are covered with cheap seat covers. The back bench seat is included. but will need recovering. I do not have a soft top for it. but one can be purchased for $160 on Ebay. The hood latch release cable is just there not permanently attached anywhere. and I added bungee. Jeep like hood latches. This vehicle's body is in excellent condition. No rust seen. No dents on the exterior. The tunnel immediately behind the gear shift is bent out from when the U joint self disassembled. Not bad. but I'm describing the best I can. I don't think you'll find a cleaner samurai around. that wasn't totally restored. I haven't off roaded this vehicle at all. just drove in the pasture. I know you can put it in 4 wheel. low and it will idle up the stock pond dam as you walk beside it. The gears are all original from the factory. I added a digital tach. for my info. It is street legal and sound cool. This is an excellent condition vehicle that has a SPOA lift. snorkel and VW diesel engine. Great for around town or trail riding. I work a 12 hour swing shift job. so emails may be delayed but will be answered as soon as possible. I have over $6000. 00 in this. but financial issues means it has got to go.
