1988 Toyota Supra Turbo Targa Sportroof 80k Well Maintained 7MGTE Serviced MK3

I gets 'thumbs up' and compliments everywhere I take this Supra. These are rare in the Northeast and rust free ones such as this are hard to come by. Not showroom condition but very nice. great documented mileage and one of the best color combinations made. Please read the listing carefully as I will honestly describe the Pros and minor Flaws. Also. kindly keep in mind that these auctions cost $$$ so if your funds are not in order you might want to square that away before you consider my car- Thank YouHistory:Last spring. an older gentleman brought the car into the Toyota Dealership/Service center where I am a technician. He had blown the head gasket (common problem if you know these cars) and was inquiring about repair. After being given a price quote he decided against repair and inquired about trade-in in towards a Scion FR-S. Unhappy with what they were giving him (said he would rather donate it to charity) and about to leave when I stepped in and asked if he would sell me the car. I made a fair offer and we agreed on price. The best part about the car for me was the interior. the pictures cannot do it justice. nbsp; it really looks like brand new. I don't think anyone ever sat in the back seats and the driver and passenger seats are in remarkable shape with no tears or rips. I have always wanted one of these but here in the Northeast they are hard to come by in a rust-free condition such as this so I took the opportunity to mechanically restore this beauty. The previous owner had repainted it a few years prior and it has its minor imperfections. *Please see the supersized pics - the major blemishes are the hood and two dings on the passenger side quarter that he did a touch-up job on. Regardless. the paint shines very nicely and does not really require a repaint unless you require a perfect car. The top of the rear spoiler is also showing some noticeable haze. --- If you are looking at this ad on a PC. hover over the pics and you can magnify them to get close ups. I have over 100 pics of the car so if you need any more shots just let me know. At the time of the repaint. he installed a new (very expensive) pioneer head unit with all iPod. USB. AUX and BLUETOOTH capabilities. new speakers all around and a sub in the trunk. The original OEM Toyota radio is also included in the sale. Also installed was a VIPER Alarm and remote starter. A fitted Le-Bra that i took off for not liking and an aluminum heat resistant car cover is included. Books. manuals and documentation from the previous owner will also go with the car. The work that I did:Head Gasket replaced along with all new hoses and radiator. Timing belt. Water pump. and full tune up done!The AC System was revamped and blows ice cold. 4 fairly new KUMHO tires and front struts. (The rear struts will need replacing soon as they are starting to creak) NEW Interstate battery with warranty. I have always used Castrol Syntec and Premium fuel as did the previous owner. The engine roars. the turbo sings and the Trans shifts on a dime. Tight handling. stability and all around great dependability makes it a pleasure to drive!I enjoyed the car for the summer months and put her in storage during the winter. When I purchased last year. i knew that it was not practical for me to keep but i just did not want to see her go to the junkers. It was a pleasure getting her back on the road and now I must put her up for someone else to enjoy. I brought her out of storage a few weeks ago. went over the engine. fluids electrical system and she is ready to go. Please note that until she sells I will enjoy her so the mileage will go up slightly. If you wish to fly in and drive her home after the auction then just bring plates as this baby would make a cross country trip anywhere. ! If you are planning on transporting the car home.
