VW Passat TDI 1996 B4

For sale is a 1996 Volkswagen Passat TDI. I am the second owner of this vehicle. 1. 9 Liter Turbo Diesel motor runs strong and the car drives fine. never any issues with the 5-speed transmission or clutch. Cosmetically decent. especially for a car it's age. There are blemishes in the paint that are to be expected from a car this age. but it's not bad looking. Interior is clean and pretty decent looking. Floormats are great. and seats are good. except for one very small tear in the driver's seat (shown in pictures). Air conditioning blows very cold and works great. Windshield is cracked on the exterior laminate. but will pass inspection and isn't noticeable. Power windows and sunroof work. except for rear left window. which quit recently. It's always gotten excellent mileage. tank averages around 44 MPG. although my best tank was 51 MPG. all highway. It currently shows 186. 73 miles on the odometer. but the previous (original) owner told me that his dealer replaced the dash cluster at 190. 00 miles. so the actual mileage is closer to 380k. This is pretty common for this model car. since the motors run forever and the smooth-shifting gearbox gives no trouble. Maintenance has been done over the life of the car. but nothing serious has really ever broken. Brakes are fair. so new pads are probably in the future. Tires are okay. Wheel bearings have all been replaced within the last 20. 00 miles. Oil changes have been done regularly every 5000 miles per factory instructions. Also included is the VW factory service manual for the engine. which I got since I planned to do all my own work. I never had to do anything on the engine aside from oil changes and the timing belt. and so I've never really used it. Please note that this car is still driven on a daily basis. and so mileage may be slightly more than stated. depending on how long it takes to sell. Clean title in-hand. no lien.
