1973 VOLKSWAGEN THING TYPE 181 CONVERTIBLE + hardtop

no rot. comes with 4 side curtains (windows). 4 original wood floor mats. car has no rot. old respray with touchups here and there. comes with fiberglass hard top and soft top mechanism (no soft top). german exhaust. original gas heater (untested. but ticks. so not DOA). spare wheel. one mounted new tire. 3 good used mounted tires. new brakes. engine rebuilt has less than 2k on it. original seats. needs headlight switch. hazards work. 2 front directional lights work. neither brake light works. neither reverse light works. neither tail light works. one rear directional light works. i only drove the car during the day. no never bothered with lights. wiper motor works. no rot in floor. rockers. trunk. etc. solid car. turns heads. 4 chrome hubcaps included with sale. key fits ignition. i never bothered keying or locking the doors. doors come off and windshield folds down! manual transmission. odometer does no reflect original mileage. but i have original speedometer that i took out of the car when i installed the good used one when engine was rebuilt. why am i selling? i owned this car nearly three years and enjoyed it. i have about 10 vw's so i have to thin out collection. this has been my only THING i have ever owned. i have the engine rebuilt and brakes redone! fresh valve adjustment and oil change. drips a few drops of oil when you park like most vw's.
