1976 Volkswagen Type II Bus Van Bay Window Single Cab modified to truck

1976 van modified to pickup by previous owner. It ran when purchased last year. Fresh oil change, ew battery, lugs, oints, ondenser coil. I suspect error is with ignition system. I don't have the time to maintain a vintage vehicle. My loss, our gain.
Additional engine compartment aft of hinged access door added. Rear of van converted to removable tailgate. Sliding passenger door converted to gate-style door for convenient item loading. Wooden sleeping platform installed in bed for camping.
