I am selling my 1982 VW Westfalia. I was going to media blast and powdercoat the chassis, install a Subaru engine and Synchro Drivetrain, but I have too many projects going on... This VW is a 1982 Diesel which has been converted to gas. That means this VW is SMOG EXEMPT in California, so you can swap whatever engine you want into it without being hassled by CARB. This vehicle was running when I took it apart, but It is not running now! This chassis has no major rust damage, everything you see in the pictures is recent surface rust from being in my back yard exposed to the fog and occasional rain in Monterey. There are no major dents, no hidden repairs. It is a super clean (relatively) VW that is ready to be restored by someone with more time than me. I have all the glass. I have all the pieces (with the exception of the tent). It even comes with an extra stove/fridge unit that is bigger than the stock one. I am willing to deliver this VW free within 50 miles, and for $3 per mile after 50 miles. There will be a $1000 deposit due at the close of the auction, and the balance is payable in cash the second before I hand over a signed title. I owe 1 or two years DMV fees. It's registered non-op, so that should be less than $200. I'll pay those fees before I sell the vehicle. Reserve is $1500 for everything you see. You could make money just parting this thing out... If you have any questions, feel free to message me. Thanks! Frank
