I am the third owner of this restored motorcycle. The first ownerfrom Indiana had the vehicle for nearly 40 years, nd put approximately 21,000 miles on the bike. The second owner from Tennessee did a frame off restoration. It was in nearly concours condition, xcept for the tank, hich remainsoriginal. I have had it for seven years, and did nothing additional except to have the magneto rebuilt. It has had just over 2,000 miles since the resto, nd these have been only in bluebird conditions--otherwise it has beengaraged. Mechanically it is 100%, nd has provided trouble-free operation. There are three cosmetic flaws, wo of which can be seen in the photos.(1) is a small dent in the tank on the right side, just below the pinstriping and opposite the filler cap and can be seen in the photos. (2) is a shallow, mall dent on the top of the tank, hich I could not manage to show in aphotograph (3) is a scratch on the left side of the back fenderapproximately 4 inches above the frame, nd involves the pinstriping but no dent, o could easily be fixed with some white paint. The tankdoes have some minor scratches commensurate with its age, ut looks verygood. If I were to keep the bike, would probablysend the tank to one of the excellent BMW restoration painters. Some of the rubber grommets could be replaced due to some hardening. I believe the photos tell the rest of the story. I can provide more photos if required. I am selling it because I have 15 motorcycles, nddue to my age, m selling off some of them, s my children have no interest. I live three hours north of Denver, o if you live in the front range, ou would probably come pick it up. If shipment is needed, would recommend HaulBikes, ho provide excellent door-to-door service. Included is original owner's manual and excellent Barrington Restoration and Service Manual.
