1968 BMW R69S US Model

Up for sale here is a 1 family owned 1968 R69S US ( 39. 00 original miles ) Light patina. Surface rust spots. Recently acquired out of an Estate. Only a couple of modifications. Short seat springs and triumph mufflers? Pegusa seat. The bike was stored indoors properly with the fuel drained for many years. Last tabbed in 97'. Original brown paint is perfect in the tank. Went through the bike lightly & installed new points. plugs & oil. Engine sounds clean. Absolutely no engine noise! Bike has not been ridden as the old Bings need kits. Clutch is free as are all controls and transmission shifts through all gears. There was no water in the transmission. Nothing is rusted solid on the bike. Everything moves freely. Aluminum rims. Front is Excellent and rear needs spokes (rusty). All original keys are present for the bike. Also has I believe a Brown sidestand? Even has a decent set of Avons. Overall this bike is in excellent rare shape. Getting harder to find these old bikes in decent shape. I do not know any service history on the bike. I would clean the slingers and rebuild the carbs. nbsp;then ride. Or easy restore as the bike is all there in very restorable condition. From my homework there was only 1000 r69sUS' imported from 1967-1969. Only 20 in 69'. I Have a signed WA State title. Buyer responsible for shipping.
