1955 ZUNDAPP KS 601 like BMW, MOTO GUZZI , NORTON, DUCATI , VINCENT , NSU or BSA

Here for your bidding pleasure is a fairly complete Zundapp KS601 plunger frame machine. The vin number seems to indicate this is a 1950/1 build date but it's titled as a 1955 so we'll let the experts decide for sure but the title reads 1955. I do know it's early in post war production by the blanked-off protrusions on the left and right of the crankcase, ust like the 1952 (titled) machine here. Now that that's out in the clear let's talk about this machine. It's missing the carbs, peedo, aillight and front shock that I know of. The engine is free. This would be a very rare and desireable motorcycle to have, ide and enjoy either as a survivor or as a restored bike.

later on in Zundapp production the factory offered a swingarm version (EL), lastic as it was called, long with the plungers. There were reported that 200 of the swingarms were produced and I have a nasty frame and engine/tranny and was just told of a friend who has a nice frame for one he's willing to sell.If I wasn't looking to buy some property I'd love to keep this bike as it's so complete. I've been told pre-70 BMW r60 carbs will work fine for this model. Taillights are available as are speedo's leaving the shock as something to source. German ebay has most anything needed.

I DO NOT know the condition of the engine, ranny or final drive but I wasn't afraid to buy it and not worried if it doesn't sell as I will restore it at some point regardless.
