Reluctantly selling my 1934 BSA Model B1 250cc British motorcycle. Running out of space in the garage. Bike is not registered/titled.
About the bike:
This motorcycle is a higher-specification "Blue-star" side-valve 250 cc model with rigid frames and girder front forks, hain-drive, ll original motorcycle with the electrical system (1934 was the first year that electrical was introduced for BSAs). The carb. is the original AMAL carb. The gas-tap is original push-style and may need a new cork. The motorcycle is equipped with the original 6V coils and regulators for the spark. The coil may need serviced as I don't see spark on the plugs. Last ran 4 months ago. Engine turns over, ears shift well. With a new or refurbished coil, he single-cylinder should be a breeze to get it fired up.
Has a new 6V sealed battery and the electrical system powers the lamp and tail-lamp (see images). Kick-start with the timing on the valve-lifter to get it going. It has a three-speed gear-box with the original hand-shifter - a fun way to ride. Includes the rare original Smith speedometer. Correct/matching engine to frame.
I intended to get her back up and running and register etc. but don't have the time. It comes with the original registration from England and all the import information. It does not currently have a title or registration - will be sold on a bill of sale. The registration history and bill of sale with an engine inspection is all that is needed to get a title/registration issued. It's a fun bike to ride around or as a display.
Note: Serious buyers only - no tire kickers.Shipping: You have to arrange your own shipping. I can help with loading if need be.
Feel free to call me if you have any questions. Thanks for the interest.
