1967 Ducati 250 Mach 1,recent full restoration.Bought needing restoration from second owner, has been in Greater Cincinnati,OH it's whole life. Many new parts, some useable original parts retained as long as serviceable for as much originality as possible.Genuine Mach 1 that I believe may be one of the Berliner Mach 1's that were sold as Mark 3's(see history or ask an expert about these confusing, disorganized times!) The clear title says Mark 3,sub model Diana Mach 1,Berliner bikes had a sticker on the steering head that matched the engine #,a new unmarked sticker is included for use if wanted.Look carefully at engine#,frame characteristics,(mounts forfootpads, brake, shifter, stop light mount, lack of standardfoot peg cross mount, gas tank,29mm SSI carburetor, cam, big valve head, etc.I'm not sure about the front fender being absolutely from a Mach 1,may be the slightly larger Diana fender but in these late run bikes, probably any fender at the factory would work if on hand.It came on the bike, the silver was faded exactly like the rear and headlight shell so to the best of my knowledge was originally on this bike.Proper 150 mph speedo doesn't work(rarely did work well!) Mileage seems about right for rest of bike when I got it but impossible to know true mileage for sure.Miserable kick starter not tried due to bad knees but bump starts and runs well.Mid range a little rough, just put in a new slide(old one beat up and leaking air, needle was raised to compensate, will drop it to clear up.)much of wiring redone with soldered joints and shrink wrap.Original switches reconditioned, all lights, stop light and horn work.New chain, good sprockets, brakes work well, steers well as it should.Have a repo SAFA battery as original with new metal strap for show.Mark 3 megaphone, number plate, flyscreen,Air pump and genuine Veglia tach and drive included.Has stock bevel cover and gear gazer.Has new Borrani rims with stainless steel spokes from Prova,Jonathan White.Stock Radaelli steel rims and painted spokes included, new Michelin tires on Borrani rimsFront end rebuilt,no oil or gasoline leaks present.(living room sculpture??)Shifting is stiff but hits all gears well, heel and toe rearset not the easiest to use.Clutch works well,is stiff,no slipping.Remember, this is a bike designed in the 1950's,It IS NOT a recent built Yamaha,Honda or Kawasaki 250 and should not be compared to one,you would be sorelydisappointed if you did! This is the 3rd 250 Diana based bike I have had over the years and it works comparably to the others.Original owners manual included, repro shop manual, info included PLEASE CONTACT ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS about this bike.Sold as is,where is (Greater Cincinnati,OH),no guarantees,it is 50 years old,$500.00 deposit on Paypal, balance due, cash, certified bank check(delivery after transfer from buyer's bank)Buyer responsible for pick up,will do anything I can to help load, overseas OK as long as all details are mutually agreed on.I'm sorry but Greece is having severe financial problems,I have had several dishonest buyers from there that I lost my ass on,so no sale there. Also any buyer with less than 15 positive feedbacks on Ebay must contact me first before bidding.I have tried to present this historically significant motorcycle as best I can, please,ANY questions, please contact me. Check my feedback, straight shooter, expect the same! Thank you for checking this out! P.S. if reserve is met, will include special tools, parts, manuals, books, literature, magazines(original tests)poster, otherwise will sell separately.
