Description

Beautiful old Harley-Davidson. 1942 Antique Motorcycle in running condition. 45cubic inch flat head side valve. I have put more than 200 miles on this motorcycle this past summer. The motorcycle cando 65 mph. Shifts all gears. The motor has 51lbs of compression in front andrearcylinders and don't smoke.Starts very easily. The bike runs great. It has a professionally rebuilt Linkert M88 Carb.Original Springer front end, originalframe, riginal handle bars ect. The fenders look to be from a Harley WL model. It was very common too civilianize these bikes after WWII. The bike was known as the"liberator" in WWII. A beautiful example of atrue survivor bike that is running. Truly belongsin a museum or private collection. The engine sports the cast iron heads asit should in the WLA model asoppose too the WLC Canadian model which would have aluminum heads. I willadd more information as needed.I will try too answer allquestions to the best of my ability. I am unsure of the headlightor the charging system. This motorcycle could easily be converted back to its original military fenders andtank however I think it is a beautifulexample of motorcycle history as it sits.
