This was a two-year project that started with a '75 Honda CB500T and culminated in an extensive frame-off custom rebuild. The goal was to make it lighter. faster. more maneuverable. totally reliable. and pleasing to look at. It's a blast to ride and gets lots of thumbs up out on the road. Bike is titled in MA and has a current safety sticker. Here are a few of the elements that went into the build:- Frame stripped and repainted- Engine torn down and rebuilt (although it only had 2400 original miles on it)- New Mikuni VM32 carbs with K&N pods and new throttle cable- Custom exhaust consisting of CB450 headers joined to chrome straights with 8" baffles- New tires - Avon Speedmaster Rib Front / SM Mark II Rear- Ceriani ears and 7" retro bullet style halogen headlight- New mini tach and speedo- M-style bars. no rise or fall. 5" pull back with Posh (Coke bottle) grips- Milled aluminum risers- Fully rewired electrical system- Electronic ignition conversion (no points)- Antigravity lithium iron 8-cell battery (less than 2 lbs)- New shocks- Mini bullet LED turn signals front and rear- Bullet LED tail light- Custom bench seat with tuck n roll upholstery- Custom trimmed fiberglass front fender- New chain- Fork boots- Tank and fenders professionally painted with multiple coats of Shimrin (Maltise Maroon) plus clear coatsA well-tuned awesome sounding machine that puts a big smile on the rider's face.
