For sale is a 1988 Honda Shadow VT800c with 23K miles. I've owned this bike for 6 years and have been on 5 rides none of which occurred in the last 2 years. It's time for someone to use it as it was intended. I religiously start and let the bike run in gear (on the center stand) every two weeks. This bike has been well maintained and is a very strong runner. The aluminum on the forks could use a polish. there are a couple spots of surface rust on the chrome wheels. and there are 2 nicks/dings on the tank from the previous owner tipping it over in his garage. The bike has a very comfortable seat (Needs vinyl patches in the corners - typical wear area) and smooth ride. Since I have purchased it (Receipts available): Battery (8/13) Clutch Clutch fluid Calipers Brake pads Brake fluid Carb rebuild Tank flush Spark plugs Windshield added (easily removed) Built PVC frames inside the bags to keep them from sagging. Plastic holding gauges cracked from age and I epoxied them to like new condition. I also purchased a helmet when I bought the bike and never took it out of the box because I didn't want to scratch it. Freebie with purchase if you want it. If I were to man-up and take it out more (It would require getting my bike license) I'd replace the tires within the next 2 seasons. Otherwise. it's in great shape and in fantastic shape for its age. Also. I am a ginger-bearded hobbit at 5'3" (145lbs) and can flat-foot it comfortably.
