Classic 1978 Kawasaki KZ1000 King of the Road

Up for sale is this mostly original Kaw in beautiful unrestored condition. With 31K miles on the clock it has been sitting in dry storage for years.A new battery has been installed and the enginestarts and runs although it needs a tune up. It was stored with all fuel drained and the fuel tank is extremely clean (see photo). Theoriginal green paint still looks fantastic and the chrome looks very good except for somebarely noticeable pitting on the wheels.The tires hold air but are olderso they should be replaced due to age. The master cylinder is dry and will require rebuilding. The bike is very original except for the following: The exhaust is a 4 into 1 system that came from a later 1980's model. The seat is an aftermarket replacement which looks good and is very comfortable but not original. Also not original are the handlebarsor the chain guard.An oil cooler has been added and the bike was fitted with engine guards. We have attempted to show every aspect of this stunning classic that is a very important part of motorcycling history. Included in the sale are the original manual and tool kit. We have a clear PA title in our name so bike is ready for easy transfer to new owner.
