Beautiful Commando 750 just finished top to bottom restoration by certified motorcycle mechanic (me) as listed below. I've rebuilt several Commandos and I must say this one truly runs wonderfully. The engine is very strong and makes all the right noises. It idles smoothly at 1000 RPM. and accelerates nicely. I've kept it under 4000 RPM during break in. but it clearly wants to go! Bike has had initial break in miles (200) and first service including head retourque. valve adjustment. primary/reach chain adjustment. timing check. nbsp;carb fine tuning. and engine oil change. All nuts and bolts retightened. There are no oil leaks. This bike needs nothing but someone to ride it. All numbers (frame. engine. trans) match listing VIN - 206090. The following work was completed this last winter and the bike run in over the last 2 weeks (all parts listed are new): Engine/driveline - superblend main bearings. rod bearings. cam chain. pistons/rings/bore/hone (+0. 030"). guides. valves. springs. exhaust threads replaced. primary chain. rear drive chain. clutch (steel/friction). new Amal 932 carbs. new cables (throttle. choke. clutch). K+N air filter. boyer ignition. mufflers + head pipes + clamps. new hardware (bolts/nuts/washers). has 1-way breather valve which runs the crankcase at a slight vacuum. Brakes - sleeved down and powder coated master cylinder. rebuilt caliper. hydraulic hose. pads. rear brake cable. brake switch. rear brake shoes. new hardware (bolts/nuts/washers) Chassis/suspension - F+R Isolastics complete. 850 head steady. nbsp;all chassis parts powder coated gloss black. nbsp;rebuilt wheels - new bearings. stainless steel spokes. nbsp;English made stainless steel rims (very nice!) in stock WM2x19 size. new Dunlop TT100/K81 tires. new tubes. new stainless steel F+R fenders. nbsp;new handle bar. foot rest mounts and rear brake lever re-chromed. fork rebuilt with new seals and gaiters. fork yokes powder coated satin silver. new Hagon shocks. tach and speedo rebuilt like new. new seat. all new hardware (bolts/nuts/washers). Cosmetics - steel fuel tank and fiberglass side covers repainted in gloss black with gold decals as original. New Ceandes fuel cap. new petcocks and fuel lines. All alloy parts polished to a high finish (not chromed). all other chassis parts powder coated as indicated. Fuel tank sand blasted inside to remove rust and sealed with Caswell Black Magic 2 part epoxy. All new rubber parts. Only thing missing on this bike is the instrument bulb harness - there was a short in one and I removed it to complete the job. These are available right here on eBay. The exhaust thread repair required rewelding of the ports (common) and some of the weld is visible. Anyone looking for a Norton to ride or show would be very happy with this machine - I rode it 180 miles round trip last weekend to the Deleware Valley Norton show in PA - bike ran great.
