A Rare Opportunity from The Vintage Motor Toys LLC Private Reserve
Up for auction from my personal collection, he Vintage Motor Toys Private Reserve, s my outstanding original 1970 Suzuki T500R Titan. I acquired this Titan some time ago from the original owner who had it stored in his climate controlled basement since it was essentially new. I acquired this T500 when nice original examples were readily available but this example stood out among the crowd so I acquired it. I would like to stress the fact that this Titan is in overall outstanding original condition and should not be confused with other Titan’s sporadically offered by amateur and unreliable sellers. The examples they commonly sell are in my opinion embarrassing and have nothing in common with this original and correct example. I would like to stress the fact that this motorcycle has not been restored. It is original and very difficult to find in this condition.
The frame number appearing on this Titan is T500-29556 and the engine number appearing on this Titan is T500-29556 making this a numbers matching correct original example. The build date reads 6/70. The odometer currently reads 2,933 correct and original miles. With so many vintage Japanese motorcycles in my collection, have decided to let a few of my nicest examples go as I now realize I’m never going to have time to enjoy them all. These Vintage Motor Toys LLC Private Reserve Models are some of my best and last examples. I am convinced the new owner of this spectacular original T500 Titan will be very, ery happy and appreciate the outstanding original condition it is currently in. This would be the perfect example to add to a collection as is. For example, his T500 still sports the factory original red stripetires with practically no wear and no cracking-they would be acceptable to driver on anywhere today.
Mechanically, his T500 is in overall excellent condition and is barely broken in with an unbelievable 2,933 actualoriginal miles. It currently kicks over smoothly with excellent compression. I acquired this example from the original owner who put on a few miles and then parked this T500 in his climate controlled basement. Only one person has ever ridden this example-the original owner. The original owner had intended to clean the carburetors and get this Titan roadworthy before I acquired it but this never materialized. I have left this example in its originalcondition and I am sure the carburetors will need rebuilding and any other maintenance as recommended by Suzuki at a minimum. If the new owner plans to ride it, good going over is in order as it is original and has been stored for so long. The engine itself is very, ery clean most likely because it has never been dirty. The brakes function properly and quickly bring this Titan to a stop when applied. The electrical components are also in excellent working, riginal condition including the gauge lights headlight, ail light and signals function according to the original owner. The control switches function and the buttons slide smoothly and crisply as they have been used only a few times. This Titan even sports its factory original and correct red stripe tires which are very difficult to find and are in near new condition with no dry cracking or aging.
Cosmetically, his T500 is in overall outstanding original condition. The original paint is in superb overall condition as this T500 has never sat out in the sun. This T500 has some of the nicest original body work of any of my original motorcycles. The inside of the fuel tank is original and solid. The seat is in outstanding original condition and the fabric is still soft and supple. The seat pan is solid and appears to be in near new condition. The original rear grab bar is of course mounted. The side cover is original and cracked but this does not detract from the overall outstanding original condition of this T500. The oil tank nicely matches the outstanding condition of this T500. The gauges are in mint original condition. The speedometer and tachometer show absolutely no fading (not even the slightest) and all colors are bright, risp and vibrant. The original Suzuki mirrors with the "S" are installed and in original condition as well as all handlebar controls and switches. The chrome on this T500 is in overall outstanding original condition including the front and rear fenders, andle bars, ear shocks, eadlight ears, eadlight bucket, hain guard, ear grab bar and rims/spokes. The tires, ims and spokes show as nearly new. The exhaust match the quality of the rest of this T500 and are solid and are the nicest set of original T500 pipes I have seen. The exhaust have absolutely no rust-none and include the original baffles installed at the factory. The exhaust show as nearly new. All rubber components including the hand grips, ubber grommets, ront fork boots, ntake rubber and peg rubbers are soft and flexible and are in very nice original condition. The under seat area of this T500 is also very, ery clean, riginal and well maintained. Other components in the under seat and side cover area are present and in overall very nice original condition. The aluminum on this T500 still has the factory new, riginal look to it including the cylinders, eads and hubs. Even the original factory assembly grease is still visible in areas adding to the originality and authenticity of this example.
I also of course have a clear title that matches the frame number exactly (this T500 is ready now for international export) and keys (2 original Suzuki keys) that are matched to this original T500. I would like to stress once more that this T500 should not be confused with the others that the general public has to choose from. It has nothing to do with and never will have anything to do with the average T500 Titan. It is so clean, riginal, orrect and well preserved it would be very, ery difficult to find another one in this sort of original condition especially from a reliable collector with outstanding feedback from selling New Old Stock parts and vintage Japanese motorcycles.
