You You are looking at a true 1979 Suzuki GS1000s known as the, Wess Cooley Replica" afterthe Racer of the same name. There were very few of these produced; some say 500 some say as many as 650 but most of them were raced and wrecked making any that survived very rare indeed. Known for their indestructible engines these bikes were THE dominator of their time and are still regarded with respect to this day. I bought this one several years ago with the intention of restoring it but age got in the way of that plan and instead of waiting until I get younger I've decided to let it go.
Along with the fairing and dash the Wess Cooley also had an oversized rear tire (18") for a slightly taller effective gear ratio. I have put new Dunlap tires on it with treads as closely matching the original treads as possible. The front is V rated and the rear H rated (good to 140mph). I rode the bike a few years ago and it runs and shifts just fine but the tank I had on it at the time was rusty and plugged up the carbs. They have been cleaned and reinstalled but they'll need synchronized. I will add that the bike was...well...eager to say the least.
The bike is not perfect. It shows where it's been with chips, ings, cratches and scrapes and it'll turn heads when you pull it into a cafe warts and all.
I somehow got this listed in the wrong place on ebay last week and the listing was taken down so I'm relisting it here (hopefully in the right spot now). Ask questions and I'll answer to the best of my ability.
Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
Good luck.
