This bike is as classic 70's cool as it gets.True 1971(VINR502660)but error made by DMV when registering the motorcycle - you can Google Yamaha R5 VIN decoder and confirm for yourself.
Two stroke, ll original, nder 7k miles. Runs and drives perfect, ons of general maintenance done by previous owner a few years ago, ew tires, attery, une up last fall. All lights function properly, he brakes are as good as it gets for front & rear drum, nd it will consistently start first or second kick. No issues with the transmission, ngine runs strong, nd the frame is in exceptional shape.
The seat has expected wear for a 40+ year old motorcycle, lso has minor surface rust on the spokes, orks, ipes, nd other places with chrome. I think it has a really cool patina and haven't had anything re-chromed. The motorcycle does not have mirrors and has some paint fading on the top of the gas tank. The fuel petcock works but sometimes gets stuck so will probably need to be replaced (unless you don't mind wiggling it a few times).
Bike is currently registered in CT so transfer won't be an issue
