OVERVIEW:This is a San Jose California build purchased from the original San Diego owner in 1985 with 102. 53 miles. It has spent it's entire time since purchase in Arizona and Texas. The car was originally a 289 2bbl automatic Forrest (Highland) green with black deluxe interior. It was lightly driven until 2001 when a three year total restoration was started. Car was totally disassembled and stripped to bare metal to remove two paint jobs and find out what was "hiding". General condition was very good with minor dents in the center of each door. front center roof. deck lid near the left rear. and a minor fender bender on the driver side. Both front fenders had been modified by the original owner for larger tires so were replaced with NOS Ford fenders. Also repaired a leaking driver side cowl. and replaced part of the driver floorpan. Frame rails. rockers. trunk. engine bay. quarters. and interior were otherwise rust free. All interior areas have been treated with POR 15 products to eliminate any future moisture problems. Car was painted with three coats of PPG epoxy primer. three coats of PPG base. and six coats of PPG clear with sanding between each coat. Replaced factory grill with aluminum. Added passenger side rearview mirror. Billet aluminum fuel cap. -New fasteners used throughout the car. -Badges/logos deleted. CHASSIS/ELECTRICAL:-Custom 14 circuit Painless Wiring for 67-68 Mustang installed with 50 amp master fuse. -Sequenced LED rear tail lights. INTERIOR:-Eclipse sound system with two front kick panel speakers and two rear side mounted. Powered internal radio antenna. -Autometer Phantom instrument gauges. Hurst shifter/5 speed knob. -Electric windows. Three point shoulder harness seat belts for front seats. -Q-pads/sound insulation installed throughout the car from passenger area to trunk. -New TMI seat bolsters/covers/headrest/carpet/windlace/headliner/door panels/visors. and new dashpad. -New door handles. steering wheel. pedals/pads. ill plates. -Factory A/C components are not installed but included. OTHER STUFF:- Front and rear oil pan seals and rear axel drain plug have a small leak. - 600cfm carb is marginal for this engine and can use larger jets-or replace it with a 750cfm (recommended). - Original ignition switch is intermittent and needs to be replaced with a new switch- included with the car. -Turn signals work. but the turn lever return cam is shot and needs to be replaced. NOS replacement is included with the car. - Factory windshield wipers are not installed but included with the car. -Original tinted windows have some light scratches that should buff out. and front windshield has two small repairable stone chips. -Hood turn signals not installed but included with the car. -Rear seat is partially dyed and needs to be finished. Saddle dye from lot used is included with the car. -One Q-pad on interior deck lid needs replacing. - Driver side rearview aftermarket mirror broke and should to be replaced with the OE mirror that comes with the car. -All modified/upgraded component instructions and service manual are included with the car for maintenance/troubleshooting.
