For Sale: 1969 Torino GT Fastback. Body on, ground up restoration completed in 2005, with no expense spared. Always garage kept with trickle charger to keep battery charged at all times. With bills to prove it, this restoration cost was over $50,000.00 back in 2005. Originally a 302 motor car which was totally rebuilt in 2005 professionally with many high performance add-ons. In June of 2015I decided to install a brand new 347 stroker engine with 425HPwhich was supplied and installed at a cost of $11,762.11 plus other work with motor add-ons at a cost of $4,896.08 done at the same time. A front wheel alignment was also done at the same time at a cost of $467.82. The grand total of this work was $17,126.01 completedin June of last year.Copies of these 3 bills are attached to verify exactly the type of work that was done and the cost for it.I enjoyed restoration process, not the money I spent, but this is what happens when you get the crazy car bug. You keep going until it is perfect. Unfortunately the time is not there for me to enjoy it the way it should be enjoyed. This is the sole reason why I am selling my car.
This vehicle was originally purchased in Tacoma, Washington and shipped to Ontario, Canada. It was totally rust free and still is. In the last 10 years I may have driven the car 1000 miles at the most. Time to sell to someone who will drive it and enjoy it.It was a black car with gold C-stripe, black bench interior and automatic on the column. It is now a burnt orange car with white C-stripe with white bucket seats and automatic floor shift with console.
This vehicle looks better than brand new and looks all original as it would have been at the Ford dealership back in 1969, except for the engine of course.
New paint back in 2005 still looks amazing. At time of restoration all suspension was done, new springs front and rear, shocks front and rear, introduced new caliper braking system in the front with larger drum pads and drums in the rear. Tires are new as well. New brake booster. New front and rear lightsand lenses. All chrome pieces have been re-chromed and all aluminum pieces have been professionally polished as well as some new chrome and aluminum pieces that were purchased. The interior is all brand new including all upholstery, carpet, door and sail panels as well as headliner. Seats were first upholstered in 2005 and then again in 2013 when I decided to install bucket seats. Transmission was rebuilt in 2005 and runs very strong and has a shift kit installed. Has an Alpine stereo installed in the glove compartment with great speakers and sub woofer along with a power amplifier. I spent $2300.00 for this stereo system in 2005 to supply and install it. Trunk and motor compartments are also immaculate. Everything on the car is either brand new or rebuilt. Just a stunning car.
Asking $35,000.00 US Funds or best offer.
