Description

Some quick stats below. Black FJ55 Land Cruisers were used in Japan by the government for emergency vehicles. Very rare to see this color. VIN NUMBER IS FJ5545438 / CALIFORNIA REGISTERED. nbsp;DOES NOT NEED SMOG. restored 5 years ago but further upgraded and further restored when I owned it a year ago. I am assisting the current owner in selling it. It is an incredible FJ55. California Avocado Ranch Land Cruiser in Fallbrook it's whole life until I purchased it. ZERO CANCER RUST ( no cancer holes in this cruiser ). only 2 small bubble spots that can easily be addressed if desired. nbsp;less then 98k original miles on it. restored 5 years ago then garaged then the owner passed away without driving it very many miles. The WHOLE TOP END REBUILT by me when I owned it last year since # 3 was showing a little low. Perfect Compression. All receipts included in sale for that work. NOW THE compression is perfect at over 150 psi straight across and that was done cold!! Interior very nice condition. everything works. very comfortable. Recently ( when I owned it ) sandblasted and powder coated the valve cover. air cleaner and battery holder and also added new decals. This cruiser was well taken care by me. previous owner and current owner. It has new 33 x 10. 50 x 15 BJGOODRICH All Terrain / T/A tires on the cruiser and have recently sandblasted and powdercoated the stock steel wheels also. Brand new hub caps as well. Since valve job was done last year with only a handful of miles put on the cruiser since then and confirmed bottom end is solid it is my opinion that this cruiser will easily go 200k miles before another upper end rebuild will be needed. Under carriage very clean. no rust. nice lift done by previous owner when he restored the cruiser. Ride is extremely smooth. Will go anywhere. Great climbing power. great torque. comfortable also on the freeway due to lift and new tires. Paint is still very good condition. This cruiser is very rare. About 125 imported in 1974. Very nice stereo system in this cruiser ( CD / Radio and good speaker system ). Also has auto door lock system that I put in. I am assisting the current owner. He owns two of my Land Cruisers and is selling this one since he needs to move back east from Southern California. The Land Cruiser is at his home in the Los Angeles area and has been kept garaged. I also always kept it garaged. so did the original owner. This cruiser is extremely rare and if your looking for a wonderful FJ55. the toughest Land Cruiser Toyota ever made. kind of like driving a little tank. in a rare color only found in Japan. nbsp;then you should consider purchasing this one. As you may know. finding interior parts ( vinyl flooring and door panels. dash boards and other original interior parts ) can be very hard. next to impossible to find. Well. this cruiser has the original stuff and in very nice condition. It was well kept and as mentioned above. has less then 98k original miles on it. I have owned 5 FJ55 Land Cruisers over the years. Finding one that has all the original parts is the key. That is what preserves the value. This one has those original parts. We can't give the cruiser away as the current owner has a lot invested in it but we have set the RESERVE price fairly in our opinion based on the rarity and condition of the cruiser. If taken care of and if left in this condition. making no major changes. it is my opinion. based on owning 5 FJ55 cruisers. that the value will continue to go up over the years. It is my opinion that this cruiser is a great investment and as well can easily be a comfortable daily driver or a hard core off road cruiser. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BIDDING. ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE SEND THEM ALONG AND I WILL POST FOR OTHERS TO SEE. If your out of town then I will be happy to refer a good shipping company to you. one that I use and have had good luck with. Also. if you want to have a mechanic look over the cruiser then it will have to be a mobile ASE. insured mechanic. No exceptions. Thanks and good luck. Things that are not perfect? 1) Small tear in back seat. 2) Some minor paint imperfections in 2 spots but not very noticeable and nothing that can't be addressed.
