1982 FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser Original / Restored / Factory PS / Adult Owned FJ

1982 FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser. 1982 FJ40 with factory Power Steering. under 110. 00 easy miles on the stock 2F. inline 4. 2 litre motor. This FJ was owned by the original owner before I purchased and restored it three years ago. ( I believe it is a 3 owner 40 ). I then sold it to a client who has put less than 2000 miles on it since 2012. He has given me the green light to resell it for him. It is garage kept. and looks as good as it did the it was restored it. The 2F motors. as you probably know are bullet proof. and will last to upwards of 300. 00 if maintained properly. This one runs excellent. with no issues. Starts. runs and drives excellent. Adult owned. never abused. Get in it. turn the key and go. This FJ drives down the road straight and true. and stops on a dime. Gets to speed nicely. and will cruise all day at 65 without pushing the 3:70 road gears. which are only found in the later year models. '79 to '83. Shifts through all four gears tightly and smoothly. There are no rattles or squeaks. This is a tight 40. The cab feels like new. and is very comfortable and much quieter thanks to the extra sound barrier under the original Toyota mats. The dash. steering wheel. door panels. all are in excellent condition. The original radio sits snugly in the uncut dash. All gauges work as new. the horn works. the blinkers work. all lights work. the roll bar looks like new. the floor mats are original and in excellent condition. The 40 is mildly lifted 2 inches using old man-e shackles and new HFS shocks. It has a great. tight ride. It is one of the best riding. smoothest FJ's I have driven. The power steering works like new. 3 Years ago we did a very nice restoration on this 40. It has been driven less than 2000 miles since. After dozens of hours on this restore. and thousands of dollars spent. hich included taking apart the FJ piece by piece. sanding. prep. and a $6000 professional paint application by a 30 year pro. you have one of the nicest. rust free FJ40's in the country. It is important to state. that this was a California 40. with no rust issues at all to begin with. and it resides in California now with current tags. and passes CA's strict emission controls. It was completely free of rust when starting the restore. The motor has all of the California emissions and will pass smog in any state. All of the items listed below where NEW in 2012. Beige. single stage base coat with clear coat applied to a rust free body both inside and out. NO RUST anywhere. Better than factory paint.
