Description

1966 BSA Hornet - All the work is done .... Mikuni carbs, ires and tubes, lectronic ignition, orks, heel bearings, iring, achometer, nti-wet sump valve, rakes, igh-output(175 watt) molded stator, oller bearings in the triple tree, llen heads to replace the old phillips heads, uick-change rear wheel, lloy front wheel with stainless spokes and nipples, nd a custom made aluminum gas tank. The only thing it needs is the CORRECT chainguard. The current one(off a Lightning) rubs a bit when you let off the gas. Starts on first or second kick, nd runs great. 53HP .... and only 367 pounds. These bikes did not come with lights, orn, r speedometer. 3800RPM in 4th gear is 65 mph. I've added lights and a horn. Great DAILY rider! This should not be ridden in Bermuda shorts .... you WILL get your leg burned, ooner or later!!!! Engine # is A65H1264. In 1966, umbers did not match from the factory!! Current Texas roadworthiness/safety inspection, registration, nd title in my name. $6400/OBO Roger 903-939-1430 days and early evenings(Central Time)

This BSA is for sale locally, o this listing may end any time!
P.S. I do not have the original oil tank, ide covers, hainguard, r fiberglass tank(I went through 3 of them before I bit the bullet and bought the aluminum one) to bring it back to original. This bike has been ridden, ebuilt, nd very well maintained ALL its life. It was never a "barn find". It has NEVER "wet sumped", s the ball and spring work just fine, ut I installed a manual oil shutoff valve below the oil tank for insurance. I change oil about every 20 hours or so. I have no worries about going long distance with it .... other than all the usual British big-twin vibration and noise!!!! It's a good, un, eliable motorcycle!!!!!
I ended the first attempt at listing earlier because the end came off the clutch cable. It's now fixed and good to go!
