This is a complete frame up restoration with all matching numbers by Bill Hoard who is one of the leading restoration guys.
Bill will attest to the details of his show quality restoration in 2008. Bill purchased the bike with 6K original miles and the bike was in perfect condition with all original parts and no modifications. He said that this was the classic “barn find” ready for a frame up restoration. I have a two page document with over 79 items detailing the restoration. The motor was balanced (left side 770.8 and right side 770.3) and all those specifications are listed. It runs very smooth. Also have a photo album with 30 pictures documenting the work from start to finish including a photo of the bike before the work started to authenticate its’ original condition. Powder coated frame and parts, resh chrome, hrome rims and spokes, erfect new paint and clear coat. It does have a Boyer ignition but we kept most of the original ignition parts to retain the original cosmetic appearance.
After the restoration the bike has never run on pump gas. Always on 108 octane leaded race fuel which it had in it when I took possession. I have ridden it enough (3,700 miles) to ensure that it stays in good working order. It is in perfect condition and better than new. This is not a “trailer queen”. It was built to ride. Looking for a good home for this classic.
Mileage: 3,700 0n the restoration. Paint: Excellent paint with clear coat and powder coat frame Sheet metal: Original sheet metal with a great fit and finish. Chrome: Chrome is bright and shiny. Correctly redone during restoration. Tires and Rims: Rims were new at restoration Front Tire is 400 X 18 in great shape and road worthy.
Rear Tire is 400 X 18 in great shape and road worthy. Mechanical: This motorcycle is in excellent mechanical condition with a new motor by Bill Hoard. The engine was torn down, alanced and rebuilt to exact standards. Runs clean, mooth and balanced through the gears. All build paperwork documentation moves with the bike.
TITLE: Clear Texas title with current 2015 registration
Engine # JD 25403
Frame # JD 25403 NADA: Would rate as 1 with a suggested value of $12,500
Accessories: Full documentation on the build and restoration.
