My 1982 R65LS has been restyled as a cafe racer to reflect the period in which it was built. I had a vision for this bike which included changing to a solo seat. adding clipons and adding a more conventional fairing to produce a good looking ride. The saddle is minimalist but I assure you that you can ride 75 miles in comfort. I added a steering damper to the bike it has settled down the nervous feel at hwy speeds. I also wanted to add some sticky rubber to the mix and put Bridgestone Battlax tires on her. these tires really add to the already great handling. Also I added bar end mirrors. new throttle cables as well as clutch cable. From a maintenance standpoint the bike has a new diode board. new plugs and wires. new Yuasa battery. new progressive shocks and new mufflers. I also had the carbs rebuilt. This bike is a pleasure to ride and sounds great flying down the road.
